Raw Dog Food Diet Helping Allergies

by Marg

Cookie in yard

I adopted a 20mth old Greyhound x Mastiff, her name is Cookie, she is brindle, big and very loving.

When she eats any processed dog food, dry or wet, within 24hrs she comes out in a very itchy rash all over. She scratches until she bleeds. I have found that Alo rubbed on helps the itch and healing.

I have her on a raw dog food diet now. She has Chicken frames and Brisket bones, and (table scraps if any) because of her reaction to wheat etc. I now get my cats Grain free cat biscuits so if she steals them she will not react. My three cats also have raw meat, beef, chicken and lamb.

They are all very fit and healthy, active and loving.

Like most of the animal world, dogs and cats are not designed to eat grain.

I hope this helps someone else with their animals allergies.

Ella and Luigi say:

Marg, thank you for telling us about Cookie and her dog allergies. The raw dog food diet (with some wheat free dog treats) is what keeps Luigi healthy and itch free too.

I think your story will really help other readers who are wondering if a raw diet would help their dogs - so thank you for sharing.
